Warrior Cats of the Shining Lake (commonly referred to as 'Shining Lake') is an Moderately Advanced RPG site. We may be going advanced, but not until I see the average of members RPing skills. You don't have to have read all the books of the Warriors/The New Prophecy/Power of Three/Manga to join, though we want you to have read at least the first one in the first series (Warriors: Into the Wild) to join. READ THE RULES before making a bio or RPing. If you don't, or commit something against the rules, we will use our wonderful Banning System on you. Plot positions need to be filled in order to begin the plot. If trying out for a high-ranking position, please audition for the role.

For some people, a RPG site is confusing. Well, here are just some common terms you may find being used:
RPG: Role-Play Game
RP: Role-Play
OOC: Out Of Character
BIC: Back In Character

Now, some of you may want examples and definitions of these terms.
Role-Play Game (RPG): A role-play game is where you have a character which you play on. It is basically a "game" where everyone has his or her own character(s) and acts them out in made up scenes with another person's character.
Role-Play (RP): The RP term is used when referring to a role-play itself, rather than the whole game.
Out Of Character (OOC): When you are RPing, you have a character that you are RPing with. Occasionally, however, you may need to break your role-play and say something that is not directly involved with the role-play itself. e.g. ".... jumped into the hole, and the dog followed behind.
OOC:// Should we move to another board?" Can be shone with either brackets ([[""]]) marking OOC chat or the OOC initials itself. If using initials, please put "://" after the OOC word. i.e. OOC:// ooc can be either lowercase or capital.
Back In Character (BIC): The same as OOC, except used when going back into character, rather than coming out of it. e.g. "OOC:// Should we move to another board?

Same rules apply. However, if marking with brackets, no need to show where the text reverts back to RP format. Once you have shone that the text is going back to RP format with the BIC initials, please skip one line, or hit enter to go to the next line. This is optional.
